Under Nevada Skies

Now this has my curiosity up.  Probably will be something esoteric but you never know.  I can only think of a couple of things were they would hold their cards this close to their chest.  (Who knows maybe they discovered intelligent life on Earth.)  See below.

WASHINGTON -- NASA has scheduled a media teleconference Wednesday, May 14, at 1 p.m. EDT, to announce the discovery of an object in our Galaxy astronomers have been hunting for more than 50 years. This finding was made by combining data from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory with ground-based observations.

Live audio of the teleconference will be streamed online at:

A video file about the discovery will air on NASA Television on May 14.

or maybe they have finally determined whether or not we have active or inactive black holes in our galaxy...

maybe they've actually pathed a worm hole from our galaxy to another...

immediately two things come to mind:

either they've finally found the crashed remains of the first satellite Sputnik in a Tanzanian mine shaft

--OR--

they've confirmed the discovery of an earth-sized world around another star that is in the habitable zone and most likely has oxygen and water. this is probably the most ultimate hope for every scientist/explorer/astronaut/writer that has ever lived since Sputnik.
