indeed something esoteric--a 140 year old supernova within the Milky Way galaxy. Sorry, no aliens, no worm holes, no habitable planets.

Using data from the space-based NASA Chandra X-ray Observatory and the ground-based NRAO Very Large Array, Astronomers just found a supernova within our Milky Way galaxy that exploded about 140 years ago. NASA scientists took fifty years to find it.

conspiracy theory time: this was a cover story invented to conceal the actual story almost revealed that they had discovered not a wormhole but and even bigger "GOPHERHOLE" that opened into an alternate reality where of all strange things they elected Schwarzenegger governor of California and then later our IRS starting giving away free money. wow can you imagine that but the world will now never know ;-)
